Why Turville?

Extended-Family Feel
We are a small setting, and use this to our advantage. We pride ourselves on knowing every child in our care as well as if they were family. Turville children are known and understood for what makes them an individual. The team we have here love every minute of the day and care very passionately about providing a stimulating and nurturing atmosphere. Our parents are well acquainted with each-other and all staff members and the children spend designated periods of the day together, encouraging compassion, care and patience in the older ones and inspiration in abundance for the younger.

Great Team
Our staff at Turville sincerely love to welcome in new faces and every one of us is invested wholeheartedly into the preservation and promotion of what makes Turville special. We love having a blast with the children, and appreciate the growth we get to witness and be a part of in each child’s personal progress. We’re professional, courteous, extremely friendly - and a bit nuts - but we love what we do and experience great fulfilment in making our little place as lovely as it is.

Forest School
Learning how to fully appreciate and respect our environment is a fantastic advantage to our position in the valley - Windmill Meadow is bursting with mini-beasts (and the neighbours are three horses!). Located on-site through a secure gate, it consists of a thicket and two grassy clearings available for our use at any time. Children visit regularly and take part in a range of age-dependant activities designed to inspire child-led exploration and promote supervised risk-taking - such as climbing the rope ladder we made together!

Parent Partnership
The parents at Turville have a huge amount of input into their child(ren)’s nursery life. We are dedicated to communicating frequently and effectively across the board, ensuring that every parent and staff member involved in the development of each unique child understands the needs and interests of their ever-changing world. We work alongside the parents towards beneficial development of their child(ren).

Our Rooms

Our rooms run separate activities but we encourage an open and friendly extended-family atmosphere by having big group meals and designated play time all together. We also encourage good manners and a sense of traditional values. We know our children well and put each individual at the centre of everything we do.

Not only is the country setting idyllic and everything you could wish for, parents are also greeted with a friendly face and the staff are always on hand to provide you with whatever information you want/need to know. They really are the nurseries best asset and not forgetting to mention how happy and healthy the children are! I would highly recommend Turville to any prospective family seeking a well-run nursery, which they can feel included and apart of, but without the commercial/corporate feel that many nurseries have.

Pre-school room parent

Turville is like our daughter’s second home and we love the nursery dearly. It has a family orientated atmosphere, which is a benefit of having low ratios due to its small setting and there is a lovely sense of familiarity between parents. Staff are well engaged and parents are always kept up to date with nursery plans and daily activities.

Pre-school room parent

My daughter has been attending Turville Nursery since she was 9 months old. We chose the nursery due to it having a forest school, a gorgeous setting and a real family feel about it. Being outdoor people, we think it’s important to let your children explore and be out in all weathers. From being quite a shy, quiet girl, she has grown into a little polite lady, oozing confidence and has made lots of friends. Our newest member of the family has now started and enjoys it thoroughly. She enjoys time in the sensory room as well as the outdoors.

The nursery always say, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing”.

Pre-school and baby room parent

Turville School is a hidden gem located in a picture postcard setting. Our son has been at the school since he was 6 months old and it is really a home away from home. The staff are exemplary and ensure that we know exactly what has transpired on a day to day basis giving a full breakdown of food intake, bathroom trips, exercise and personal development.

The most important thing for us is that he looks forward to going to Turville Nursery in the morning and never wants to leave when we go to pick him up which is the biggest testimonial in itself.

We fully recommend it.

Toddler room parent

Turville School is a lovely nursery with a warm and friendly environment. We have been extremely happy with the care provided for our son. He is very happy there and loves all the staff who look after him. The nursery has good facilities and best of all, it has a large outside play area with plenty of toys and Forest School on its doorstep.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Turville !
